Thanks for your help with teens

I’ve written comments about rowdy teenagers here a while ago and would like to thank you sooo much for what you did to control the teenage angst they had while in the library.

I’m trying to finish my thesis and going through grad school and so really appreciate the change that you’ve made to the library.

Thank you. Thank you!

I’m glad that you’ve found the library to be a more peaceful place recently. Ensuring proper behavior is an ongoing challenge which ebbs and flows with the seasons. It is important to the staff here that patrons are allowed to use the library without interference. If inappropriate behavior rears its head again, please notify a staff member while the situation is occurring so that it can be dealt with directly.

Good luck with the thesis!

No Smoking

I am asking that smoking be prohibited near the building. Most places you have to be 100 feet away from a building. I get side affects from the smell and its in my clothes and mouth.

Thank you for your concern. Smoking is actually prohibited on all library grounds and signs are posted to this effect. “Smoker’s outposts” or ashtrays are provided at the edges of the property to encourage smokers to put out those cigarettes. If you see inappropriate behavior of any kind occurring at the library, please inform a staff member while it’s happening and we’ll try to address the situation as it is occurring.
