Teen Book Review — Fathers and Sons

Title: Fathers and Sons
Author: Ivan Turgenev
Stars (out of 5): 3
Review: This was a required summer reading book that I enjoyed more than I thought I would. The story of nihilist Bazarov and his faithful admirer Arkady depicts Russian society in the 1860s but upon further reflection I found that the themes apply to my life today. The ideas of skepticism and the desire to fit in somewhere are universal and Turgenev does a wonderful job portraying this.
