Teen Book Review — Reason to Breathe

Title: Reason to Breathe
Author: Rebecca Donovan
Stars (out of 5): 5
Review: Emma lives with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. Her aunt abuses her (physically), but Emma wants to protect her cousins, and doesn’t say anything. She is creating a perfect profile for herself so that she can get into a good college — straight A’s, three varsity sports, editor-in-chief of the school newspaper — but when Evan Matthews comes into her life, she’s afraid he will destroy the “perfect” balance of her life. A great book for mature teens who love romance and thrillers! NB for sensitive souls: Although this book can make you laugh until your stomach hurts, it can also make you cringe and cry.
