Contactless pick up for holds and window shopping is available Monday – Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM. No appointment needed. 

Returns should be placed in the blue bins outside Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM at the Ground Floor/Parking Lot entrance. The book drop can be used after hours. We quarantine all library materials for 24 hours. Please note that due to the very high volume of materials being returned, it may take 3-4 business days to safely check your library items in. Fines will not accrue during these days.

Contactless Pick Up is here! Start placing holds on your account! Once your items are shown as ready for pickup, you may stop by to collect them Monday-Friday from 8:30AM – 4:30PM. Appointments are not necessary.

Returns are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM at the Ground Floor/Parking Lot entrance. Returns should be placed in the blue bins outside so we can quarantine all material for 72 hours. The book drops remain closed.

Please note that due to the very high volume of materials being returned, it will take us 4-5 business days to safely check your library items in. Fines will not accrue during these days.

Your Questions, Answered

You do not need to make an appointment for our contactless pickup. When you are notified that your requested items are ready for pickup, come to the Library’s Ground Floor/Parking Lot entrance Monday – Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM. You will give your name to the Library staff, and they will retrieve your materials from the hold shelf and check them out to you. 

Please note that you must wear a face mask while picking up your materials. 

We accept returns Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM at the Ground Floor/Parking Lot entrance. Returns should be placed in the blue bin outside so we can quarantine all material for at least 24 hours. If you cannot make it during these times, our book drops are open when the library is closed.
 

The Library building is not open to the public. However, you can request items online or call us at 781-314-3425. We will notify you once your materials are ready to be picked up. You may pickup your items at our Ground Floor/Parking Lot entrance Monday – Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM.

The library catalog is accessible here. This is where you can browse and request items. If you do not know your account login information or if you would like to request an item over the phone, please call us at 781-314-3425. All returned material is quarantined for at least 24 hours in a separate room in the Library. After this time, the materials will be checked in. Fines will not accrue during the quarantine time on the items. 

Yes! You can email your print job to our public printer during our contactless pickup hours. More information is available here.

The building is not open to the public so desktop computers cannot be used at this time. However, the Library has laptops available to checkout for a 48 hour period. There are laptops with and without DVD/CD drives, so be sure to reserve the correct one. Please read our updated Laptop Agreement Form here.

You should not have any fines on your account for returning items during the current pandemic. When materials are returned, they are quarantined for at least 24 hours before library staff begin checking them in so you will see them on your account for several days after you returned them. Late fines are not being charged, so if you have late fines on your account, please call us at 781-314-3425.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not know when the library will be open for browsing, studying, or computer use. Updates will be posted on our Updates page when new information becomes available.

There are several ways to browse new books! At the bottom of our homepage is a scrolling carousel from Wowbrary with new titles that have just been added. On our Find Your Next Book page, you can read the latest Staff Reads, request recommendations from our staff, and browse multiple websites for new materials. The Minuteman Book Lists is a regularly updated list of most requested books and collated lists of books by topic or award. You can also login to Libby or Overdrive and Hoopla to browse the new eBooks and audiobooks, and magazines. New digital movies can be found on Hoopla and Kanopy.

If the item is listed as available at another library, it may take several more days than usual to arrive. After its arrival, the item is quarantined for at least 24 hours before being processed and put on the holdshelf. If the item is very popular, there could be a longer wait list. If you have an item that you would like to donate to our Local History collection, please contact our Archivist.  Otherwise, we are not accepting donations of materials (books, movies, magazines, music) at this time due to COVID.
