Library During COVID

All floors of the library are now open!

  • Monday – Thursday:  9AM-9PM
  • Friday & Saturday: 9AM-5PM
  • Sunday: 1PM-5PM

Effective immediately, the Waltham Public Library will follow city and state guidelines regarding mandatory mask wearing for all patrons over the age of 5, regardless of vaccination status, in line with rules and regulations determined by and for public schools in Waltham, particularly grades K-8. A significant number of unvaccinated infants and children under the mask age requirements visit the library each day; we appreciate your help in keeping them safe.

This policy will be reviewed at regular trustees’ meetings until further notice. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to amend this policy at any time based on updated information from the city, state or CDC.

To serve our patrons best during the pandemic, we have been making exceptions to our normal policies. As of October 15, 2021, we returned to many of our pre-pandemic policies and we want to let you know what to expect! More information is available here.
