Building Tomorrow

Building Tomorrow - Waltham Public Library; Orange and white text on a navy blue background

Waltham Public Library is excited to announce its advancement into the second phase of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) Public Library Construction Program. This critical phase, focused on planning and design, marks a significant milestone in the library’s journey toward creating a dynamic, modern space that will better serve the community’s evolving needs.

As part of this phase, the library has been awarded a $100,000 planning and design grant by the MBLC. This funding will support the development of a comprehensive library design that aligns with community priorities, modern library standards, and sustainable building practices.

The documents and data below will help you understand the need to renovate our building, the overview of the grant, our Building Program, our Strategic Plan, and our most recent Impact Report.
